About

Sydney VR is an innovation network that aims to build collaborations across local universities and research organisations in the Sydney Metropolitan area to optimise the benefits that immersive technologies can deliver for addressing challenges in medicine, health and active recreation. Virtual reality (VR) offers superb capability for objectively assessing perceptual processes and monitoring human movement in highly controlled simulations that have full potential to integrate visual and non-visual sensory stimulation. We are working together to create new ways of applying these technologies to leverage the power of multisensory systems to improve sensorimotor control, active social participation and quality of life in real-world scenarios.

Please note: If you are a student interested in undertaking research related to one of our current VR projects, then please do not hesitate to get in touch with the relevant project lead for more information (the relevant project tag follows their name).
